Obituary

Garland Jacob Teter of Tallmadge, Ohio passed away on September 3 rd 2021 at the age of 92.  He was born November 11, 1928 to the late Corbett and Mary (Judy) Teter in Circleville, West Virginia.  He was preceded in death by his wife Gaytha Lee (Lambert) Teter and son Mark Alan Teter.  Survived by his son Garland "Butch" Teter and surrounded with love by his daughter-in-law Cheryl Teter, grandchildren Terrace Teter, Corbett Lee Teter, Cassandra (Teter) Harnack, great grandchildren, Corbett Alan Teter, Brittani Frick, Alexis Harnack, Alayna Frick, Andrea Harnack, Mark Frick, Lilyanne Harnack, and Halena Teter.

Garland "Jake" Teter lived a long and interesting life.  He was in the United States Marine Corps., served on the Tallmadge Police Auxiliary, worked as a plumber, and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and hunting.  Although he suffered from Alzheimer's "Papa Teter" played poker with Cheryl, his grandchildren, and his friend Debbie up until his last days.  He never ate much but these last years he ate enough Klondikes that we are sure the company will notice a drop in sales. Gramps was a loving man, a sweet grandfather, provided for his family, helped his family and friends whenever he was able.

Garland's family will receive relatives and friends October 17, 2021 at North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, West Virginia for a graveside service, with Pastor Fletcher Hutchison officiating.
