Gary Lee Ferguson, age 70, of Upper Tract, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV. He was born on June 18, 1954, in Lewistown, PA, the son of the late Blaine and Thelma (Shehan) Ferguson. On June 25, 1982, Gary married Donna Mae (Smith) Ferguson, who survives in Upper Tract, WV.

Gary was a 1972 graduate of Lewistown High School and attended Cincinnati School of Mortuary. He was a Baptist by faith and loved the great outdoors.

Gary had worked for the FBI in Arlington, VA for 10 years. During that time, he received many performance awards in recognition and appreciation of his exceptional performance of his official duties. Gary had also worked other various jobs including; an embalmer, Pendleton County night jailer, and a sales clerk for Sports Unlimited.

In addition to his wife, Gary leaves behind to cherish his memory: 2 sisters, Karen Tully of Lewistown, PA, Joy Stickler (Josh) of Lewistown, PA; a sister-in-law, Sherry Pennington of Upper Tract, WV; a brother-in-law, Herald Smith (Judy)  of Hinton, VA; 4 nieces, Brittany Roy (Cody), Tina Wine (Roger), April Mills, Jenna Laughlin; 1 nephew, Brady Feathers; and 2 great-nephews, Aidynn & Rylan DeShawne; 2 great-nieces, Rhiannon and Autumn Roy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a brother, Brian Ferguson; and a niece, Heather Hamilton.

Gary's family will receive friends on Sunday, October 27, 2024, 1-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor David Webb officiating. Interment will be in Kline Cemetery, Kline, WV.
