Gladys Lee Vandevander , age 89, of Franklin, WV, formerly of Thornwood, WV, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 at the Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV. She was born on September 24, 1930, in Thornwood, WV, the daughter of the late Ora and Nelia (Slatin) Vandevander. Gladys married Thomas William Vandevander, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Vandevander is survived by: a daughter, Rosalee Grogg of Sugar Grove, WV ; 3 sons, Don Vandevander of Hedgesville, WV, Garland Vandevander of Hinton, VA, and Lee Vandevander of Franklin, WV; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: 4 brothers, Doll Arnold, Jimmie, Berlin, William Mackie; and 3 sisters, Bessie Mullenax, Mary Louise White, and Carrie Starks.
