Gloria Jean Warner, age 68, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA. She was born on June 10, 1950, the daughter of late Hazel Simmons. Jean married John Edward Warner, who survives in Franklin.

Ms. Warner attended Franklin High School and was a Christian by Faith. She had worked for Advantage Foods, Franklin Garment Company, and as a filing clerk for Pendleton County EDA.

In addition to her husband, Ms. Warner is survived by: 2 daughters, Roxanna Helmick of Purgitsville, WV, Jackie Long (David Baker) of Maysville, WV; a son, Jeremy Marple (Jackie) of Job, WV; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by: her grandparents (who raised her), Oscar and Orpha (Propst) Simmons; and a son, Richard Carl Marple.

Mrs. Warner's family will receive friends on Friday, January 11, 2019, 6-7 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. A Memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM in Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Daryl Dunsmore officiating.
