Grace Mowery, age 100, of Bryantown, Maryland formerly of Kline, West Virginia passed away on Tuesday November 5, 2019 at SagePoint Senior Living Services in LaPlata, Maryland.

Grace was born in Franklin, West Virginia on October 6, 1919, the daughter of the late Oliver Cromwell Mowery, SR. and the late Gertrude (Propst) Mowery.

Miss Mowery was a homemaker caring for her parents until their death. She raised poultry and loved gardening. She was a member of the Christ Central Community Church in Upper Tract.

In the summer of 2015 Grace went to live with her niece Frances in Bryantown, Maryland. On October 6th Grace celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends, a milestone she aimed for her later part of her life.

Surviving are four nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by a sister Rebecca Kimble, three brothers Oliver C. Mowery Jr., Howard C. Mowery, and Vernon L. Mowery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday November 10th from 12:30 PM until 2:00 pm at Christ Central Community Church in Upper Tract. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm with Pastor Sam Harper officiating. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Cemetery in Upper Tract.
