Gregory Walter Shanholtz, age 47, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.  Mr. Shanholtz was born on July 28, 1975 in Akron, OH, the son of Gary Wayne Shanhotz, Sr. of Petersburg and Patricia Elaine (Bramlett) Shanholtz of Moorefield, WV.  On August 22, 2011, Greg married Denise (Mullins) Shanholtz, who survives in Petersburg.

Greg is a 1994 graduate of Petersburg High School and began working in construction and as a mechanic, later working at Pilgrim's Pride in Moorefield, WV.  He enjoyed working on vehicles and camping with his family.  Greg was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Shanholtz is survived by: a daughter, Catrenia Mullins of Petersburg, WV; 2 sons, Cody Mullins (Krystal) of Burlington, WV, Carl Ray Summerfield, III of Petersburg, WV; 5 sisters, 7 brothers; 7 grandchildren, Blake and Estella Mullins,  Adrian, Andrew, Alice, and Rebecca Ault, Bentley Summerfield; and several nieces and nephews.
