Helen Irene Warner , age 87, of Franklin, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at her home. She was born on August 12, 1931, in Norton, WV, the Daughter of the late Dorfice Andrew and Gracie Ethel (Bodkins) Channell. On November 16, 1951, Helen married Manson Gary Warner, who preceded her in death. .

Ms. Warner was a 1950 graduate of Tygart Valley High School and she retired from Hanover Shoe Company in 1996 after working in the fitting department for 15 years. She was a homemaker and loved quilting and gifting them to others, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

Helen is survived by: her loving children, Brenda (Richard) Mullenax of Cleveland, OH, Ruthaleen (Willard) May of Moyers, WV, Marilyn (Perry) Propst of Franklin, Susan (Ronnie) Rexrode of Franklin, Roger Warner of Elkins, WV, George Warner of Cherry Grove, WV, Barbara (Sander) Moats of Franklin, Jenny (Roy) Ruddle of Franklin; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Andy (Lovie) Channell of Chicago, IL, Denzil (Janet) Channell of Troy, ME, Don (Natalie) Channell of Salisbury, MD, Ruth (Arville) Burris of Cleveland, OH, Evelyn Kronk of Sarasota, FL, Robert (Rosalie) Channell of Essex, MD, Delores (Oscar) Masiers of Snellville, GA, Gerald (Rhonda) Channell of Valley Head, WV, Stephen (Faye) Channell of Elkins, WV, Sandy (Alfred) Sheats of Bear, DE, Linda (David) Hamrick of Elkins, Debbie Channell of Valley Head, and Randall Channell of Mentor, OH. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Donald Raymond Warner (infant in 1964) and Gary Stephen Warner (2001).

Ms. Warner's family will receive friends on Friday, March 29, 2019, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randy Miller officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
