Irene Mae (Vance) Stump , age 84, of Upper Tract, WV, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. She was born on in Riverton, WV, on May 9, 1937, the daughter of the late Fred and Ruby Marie (Harper) Vance. Irene married Warnie Ralph Stump, Sr., who preceded her in death on April 15, 1976.

Irene attended Dolly School and Schmucker School. She had worked for Wagner Brothers as a Machine Operator in Baltimore, MD. Irene was a loving mother/grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Irene is survived by: a daughter, Lori Ann Stump of Baltimore, MD; 7 sons, Warnie Ralph Stump, JR. (Sue) of Ocean City, MD, Michael Scott Stump (Noreen) of Baltimore, MD, Jeffrey Stump (Robin) of Denton, MD, Stephen Stump of Brandywine, WV, Gregory Luke Stump Sr. of Upper Tract, WV, Johnny Lowell Stump of Baltimore, MD, Joseph Lamont Stump of Moorefield, WV; 6 sisters, Elaine Swick of Pasadena, MD, Edith Good of Upper Tract, WV, Donna Herb of Franklin, WV, Margaret Ferris of Baltimore, MD, Maxine Morris of Glen Burnie, MD, Sue Ramsey (Tim) of Baltimore, MD; 6 brothers, Jerry Vance of Franklin, WV, Frederick "Mancie" Vance (Lois) of Baltimore, MD, Randy Vance (Jo Ann) of Eastern Shore, MD, Richard Vance (Debbie) of Eastern Shore, MD, Tom Vance (Brenda) of Upper Tract, WV, Bob Vance (Jackie) of Upper Tract, WV; 22 grandchildren, including Cody Stump of Upper Tract, WV, Luke Stump of Petersburg, WV, and Loretta Graham of Ft. Seybert, WV,  who she raised; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: a son, Marty Robbins Stump; a daughter Jaclyn Campbell; 4 brothers, Jack, Gary, Roger, and John Vance; and 2 sisters, Billy Jo Stull and Jo Ann Plaugher.

Irene's family will receive friends on Friday, October 22, 2021, 4-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Brian Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Upper Tract, WV.
