Jade Janelle Herb , age 25, of Austin, TX, formerly of Franklin, WV, went to be with her Savior on April 11, 2025, in Austin, TX. She was born on June 10, 1999, in Elkins, WV, the daughter of Elizabeth Mullenax of Circleville, WV and Fred Herb of Franklin, WV.

Jade was a 2017 graduate of Pendleton County High School. She was a Christian by faith and member of Wayside Baptist Church. Jade was an artist and an adventurist. She was always fearlessly up to new adventures. Jade had a love for animals and a heart for rescuing them and keeping them to herself. Whoever was lucky enough to have been blessed by Jade in their life, even if it was for a short time, had the opportunity to experience her witty and funny personality. Jade had a huge heart and love for life and she had a passion for helping others and to do what was right. She will dearly be missed by her family but has left an everlasting imprint on their hearts.

In addition to her mother and father, Jade leaves behind to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Athena Mallow and Luna Moats, both of Daily, WV; 2 brothers, Isaac Mullenax of Harrisonburg, VA, John Herb serving in US Army; 2 aunts, Heather Vance of Riverton, WV, Erica Harvey (Terry) of Franklin, WV; grandparents, Harold and Edna Mullenax of Circleville, WV and Donna Herb of Franklin, WV. and 7 first cousins, Waylon Shreve, Paige Errington, Andelyn Vance, Reese Mullenax, Gabriel Harvey, Hannah Harvey, and Terry Harvey, Jr. Jade was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John Herb.

Jade's family will receive friends on Saturday, May 10, 2025, 1-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Mike Lambert officiating. Inurnment will be in the Mullenax Family Cemetery on Elk Mountain, Circleville, WV.
