Obituary

James Stuart Barger, age 59 of Upper Tract, WV, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020. He was born on March 8, 1960 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late James Oscar Barger and Viola Catherine (Shoemaker) Barger. On May 3, 2001, James married his wife of 18 years, Debbie Lynn (Might) Barger who resides in Upper Tract.

Mr. Barger graduated from Patapsco High School in Dundalk, MD and attended Dundalk Community College in Baltimore where he received a degree in Business Administration. He previously attended the Believers Victory Center in Moorefield, WV.  Mr. Barger was a Veteran of the United States Navy.  He worked for Valspar Corp. in Baltimore, MD as a paint tinter as well as a body & fender repairman in his fathers body shop. James had a love of fishing and enjoyed spending his free time on the lake.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Barger is survived by: 1 son, James Stuart Barger, Jr. of Dundalk and 1 step-son, Eddie Gibson, Jr. of Front Royal, VA; 2 step-daughters, Heather Gibson of York, PA and Jessica Smith of TN; 2 sisters, Sharon Drummond of Dundalk and Terri Wilmoth of Reisterstown, MD; 1 brother, Kevin Barger of Dundalk; 4 grandchildren, Blazedyn Barger, Ellyna Barger, Conway Barger and Ryder Barger and 6 step-grandchildren, Hannah Allison, Tamaya Bailey, Alyssa Johnson, Lariyah Gibson, Isayah Gibson and Jeremiyah Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother George Barger.
