James Allen Davis , age 55, of Brandywine, WV, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at his home. He was born on September 21, 1964, in Harrisonburg, VA, the son of Jerry Davis (Shelia) of Brandywine, WV, and Linda Howdyshell (David) of Huntingtown, MD. On May 24, 1986, James married Tammy Jane (Bland) Davis, who survives in Brandywine, WV.

James was a 1982 graduate of DuVal High School in Lanham, MD. He did masonry work and worked for Contracting Unlimited and had worked for A & J Construction. James had a passion for hunting and fishing, and he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents and wife, James is survived by: 2 daughters, Megan Davis and Fiance Matt Austin of Morgantown, WV, Laura Meek and husband Michael of Chesapeake, VA; 3 sisters, Teresa Canning (Scott) of Owings, MD, Angie Bennett of Huntingtown, MD, Kerri Johnson (SJ) of Owings, MD; 2 brothers, Jerry "Scooter" Davis, Jr. and Jeff Davis, both of Ft. Seybert, WV; and a grandson, Mason.

James' family will receive friends on Thursday, February 20, 2020, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating.
