Janet Lea Runion , age 76, of Brandywine, WV, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at her home. She was born on February 26, 1945, in Charleston, WV, the daughter of the late James Everette and Beulah Mae (Treadway) Lasley. On September 1, 1961, Janet married Terry Runion, who survives in Brandywine.

Mrs. Runion graduated as Valedictorian from Clear Fork High School in Colcord, WV. She attended White Oak Adventist Church in Artie, WV and had worked for over 20 years before retiring in 2008 from Federal Air and Aviation.

In addition to her husband, Janet  leaves behind to treasure her memory: 2 daughters, Terri Farley (Vaughn) of Charleston, WV, Kimberly Pitsenbarger (Jeff) of Brandywine, WV; a son, Heath Andrew Runion (Alicia) of Ft. Myers, FL; 2 sisters, Cheryl Wall of Goodview, VA, Angela Williams of Artie, WV; 2 brothers, Doug Lasley (Sandra) of Lawton, OK, James Robert Lasley of Hinton, WV; 12 grandchildren, Leigh Evick, Gayle Combs, Meghan Evick, Kalah Runion, Lilly Runion, Raven Runion, Kitiara Runion, Jeremy Pitsenbarger, Robert Novack, Matthew Pitsenbarger, Eathan Runion, and Heath Runion Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Earl and John Lasley; and 2 sisters, Willa Estep and Sandra Dingess.

Mrs. Runion's family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, 10:30-11 AM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Brad Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Sugar Grove, WV.
