Janie Louella VanMeter-Sites, age 68, of Purgitsville, WV, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at her home.  She was born on November 21, 1955 in Fort Ashby, WV, the daughter of Loretta Christian Cosner of Mt. Storm, WV and the late Arlie Garland Rohrbaugh of Romney, WV.  She was survived by her partner of 14 years, Troy Junior Sites, who survives in Purgitsville.

Janie previously worked for Advantage Food in Petersburg, WV and at Pilgrim's Pride in Moorefield, WV before her illness.  She was a Christian in faith who loved all her family dearly.  In her spare time, she enjoyed watching true crime shows and soap operas.  Janie had a special place in her heart for chickens, cats, and her dogs, Chole, Bella, and Sally.

Janie leaves behind to cherish her memories: 2 daughters, Megan Miller (Larry) of Moorefield, WV; Ashley VanMeter of Jordan Run, WV; 2 sons, Shawn Rohrbaugh (Frances) of Maysville, WV; Patrick Van Meter (Felicia) of Franklin, WV; 6 sisters, Joyce Rohrbaugh; Darlene Doak; Tami Harman; Jackie Harper; Ellen Rohrbaugh; Barbara Harper; 5 brothers, Arlie D Rohrbaugh; Steven Borror; Archie Borror; Michael Rohrbaugh; Robbie Rohrbaugh; 10 granddaughters, Kelsie VanMeter; Skylar Rohrbaugh; Kailey Miller; Remington Rohrbaugh; Resse Rohrbaugh; Casely Grapes; Gracelyn Grapes; Shania Rohrbaugh; Brittany Berg; Elizabeth Wheeler; 8 Grandsons, Jayden Reel; Daustin Miller; Dean Miller; Henry, Riley, and Channing VanMeter; Jaxson Montgomery; Jacob Wheeler; and a great-granddaughter Felicity Moreland.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Reginald Rohrbaugh.
