Jaxon Hunter Nelson , 19 month old son of Tara Mae Vandevender and Kevin Bruce Nelson of Seneca Rocks, passed away unexpectedly at home, in his sleep, on Monday, March 11, 2019. He was born on August 5, 2017, in Elkins, WV.

Jaxon had an infectious smile and personality and was full of love. He enjoyed playing with his toys and spending time with his family and friends. Jaxon left a permanent impression in everyone's heart and was truly a gift from God.

In addition to his parents, Jaxon is survived by: 2 loving brothers, Denver Troy Nelson and Brody Wayne Nelson of Seneca Rocks; beloved grandparents, Gretta M. Peck (Kevin Shifflett) of Port Republic, VA, Ringo Vandevender of Durbin, WV, Bruce and Anita Nelson of Seneca Rocks; loving great-grandparents, Myrtle Bennett of Elkins, WV, Tom Peck (Peggy) of Boyer, WV, and Freddie and Jeanine Nelson of Circleville, WV; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jaxon's family will receive friends on Saturday, March 16, 2019, 12-1 PM at the North Fork Baptist Church in Riverton, WV. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the church, with Pastor Cam Carte officiating. Interment will be in the Nelson Family Cemetery in Circleville.
