Jean Ann Shockey , age 42, of Keyser, WV, passed away on November 18, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born on April 8, 1982, the daughter of Arthur and the late Helen Marie (Moyers) Sim. On July 24, 2015, Jean married Jeremy Wayne Shockey, who survives in Keyser.

Jean was a 2001 graduate of Patapsco High School in Baltimore, MD and was a Methodist by faith. She enjoyed fishing and had a passion for horses. Jean was a caretaker and assisted with home bound and elderly individuals.

In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by: 2 sisters, Janet Martin (Earl) of Amherst, VA and Ruth Ward (Neil) of Keyser, WV; and her grandmother, Julia Sim of Franklin, WV.

Jean's family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2024, 12-1 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Franklin, WV.
