Jed Bradley Sponaugle , age 58, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born on July 28, 1960, in Harrisonburg, VA, the son of Berlie and Dolly (Waggy) Sponaugle. On August 29, 1981, Jed married Teresa Mae (Champ) Sponaugle, who survives in Franklin.

Jed was a 1978 graduate of Franklin High School, a member of Franklin United Methodist Church, and a 15 year member of the Pendleton County Rescue Squad. He loved playing his fiddle, fishing, hunting, farming and his dog "Millie". Jed had worked at Franklin Home Service and Valley Implement, until his illness in 2016.

In addition to his wife and parents, Jed is survived by: a daughter, Melanie Sponaugle of Washington, UT; a son, Mitchell Sponaugle (Haley Wright) of Fairmont, WV; and 2 sisters, Jeanne Eckard (Jesse) of Franklin and Karen Hamilton (Richard) of Mathias, WV.

In honoring Jed's wishes, his body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Thorn Spring Park in Franklin, WV, with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pendleton County Rescue Squad, POB 727, Franklin, WV 26807.
