Jo Ann Morgan, age 76, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV.  She was born on August 16, 1948 in Kingwood, WV, the daughter of the late Teddy A. and Nellie B. (Le Masters) Spessert.

Ms. Morgan attended a one room schoolhouse in Preston County.  Jo Ann enjoyed knitting and listening to the sounds of the great music legends Conway Twitty and Elvis Presley.  She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who, in their eyes, was perfect! She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jo Ann is survived by: a son, William Stanley "Willie" Yingling and his wife Marie; a daughter,  Leslie Beth Thomas; 2 sisters, Phyllis Sigle; Nancy Brown; 3 brothers, Paul, Teddy Jr., and Bud Spessert; 6 grandchildren, Scotty, David, Christopher, Brandon, William, and Steven; and 3 Great-grandchildren, Colin, Ava, and Greyson.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Miller and several brothers.
