⁰John Robert "Bob" Kemper , age 81 of Franklin, WV, passed away at his home on Friday, November 19, 2021. He was born on May 27, 1940, in Hanover, PA, the son of the late John Preston and Virginia (Donelson) Kemper. Bob married Shirley Faye (Hammer) Kemper, who preceded him in death on July 7, 2011.

Bob was a graduate of West Minister High School in Maryland. He was co-owner of Kemper's Store and he owned and operated Kemper's Auto, where he specialized in painting and auto body repair.

Bob is survived by: 3 daughters, Kathy Lockard (Guy Milstead) of Franklin, WV, Wanda Allaby of Struthers, OH, Mary Jordan of Petersburg, WV; 3 step daughters, Terry Hammer (Emmett) of Linville, VA, Susan Jo Ash of Charleston, SC, Cindy Varner (Eugene) of Sugar Grove, WV; a step son, Kelly Hammer (Tammy) of Franklin, WV; a brother, James W. Kemper of Little Town, PA; a number of grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Karen Lineweaver; and a step brother, Gene Donelson.

In honoring Bob's wishes, his body has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV, with Elder David Hartman officiating.
