John Henry Roberts , age 70, of Brandywine, WV, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1948, in Elizabeth, WV, the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Helen Zaye Roberts Wells. John married Pauline Lucille Parker Roberts, who survives in Brandywine. He was also married to Linda L. Davis of Brandywine, and Patty Starkey of Greenbrier Co., WV.

Mr. Roberts was a graduate of Rupert High School and a member of the Brandywine Baptist Church. Had a passion for hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. John had worked as a Coal Miner, Mechanic, Painter, and at the Sugar Grove Naval Base. He was a Veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Roberts is survived by: a daughter, Tiffany Ann Beals and husband Ryan, of Huntington, WV; 4 sons, John H. "Jay" Roberts, Jr., of Franklin, Timothy James Roberts and wife Chanda of Upper Tract, WV, Matthew Chris Roberts of Brandywine; Wesley Darrell Davis of Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren, Ayden, Hunter, Ryley, Dakota, Alyssa, Shana, Brandyss, Draven, Hailey, Shelby, Paden; and a great-grandchild, Cason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Gene and Carl; and 2 sisters, Frances and Susan.

In honoring Mr. Roberts wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin.
