Josephine "Josie" Warner , age 85, of Circleville, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. She was born on April 29, 1940, in Circleville, WV, the daughter of the late Everett and Sylvia (Lambert) Waybright. On April 25, 1961, Josie married Laird Richard Warner, who survives in Circleville.

Josie was a loving mother and homemaker and applied her skills in gardening and canning. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching westerns, particularly John Wayne, listening to George Straight, and collecting porcelain dolls.

In addition to her husband, Josie leaves behind to cherish her memory: a daughter, Julie Martin (Alan) of Circleville, WV; a brother, Everett "Butch' Waybright of Mt. Jackson, VA; 3 grandchildren, Amy Johnston (Sam), Rebecca Martin, Clarence "June Bug" Martin (Lindsey); 6 great-grandchildren, Makayla, Laird, Isaiah, James, Aaliyah, Israel; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Addy and Jace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 sisters, Jackie Dellinger and Kitty Layman.

Josie's family will receive friends on Monday, April 6, 2026, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Curlie Ray, Jr. officiating.
