It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of J'Quan Di-Mel Willis, age 33, of Durham, NC, formerly of Franklin, WV, on Saturday, June 29, 2024 as the result of a motorcycle accident in Durham, NC. He was the son of Liti Jewel Barrow of Harrisonburg, VA and Eddie Dean Willis of Franklin, WV. On July 7, 2023, J'Quan married Sereika Onecia (Rowe) Willis of Durham, NC.

J'Quan was a 2009 graduate of Pendleton County High School where he was active in the Band. He was a 2015 graduate of WVU where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree. He was employed in Durham, NC by FEDEX in the Maintenance Department.

To know J'Quan was to love him. He cherished life and took advantage of the opportunities it had to offer. J'Quan's smile, laughter and personality were contagious. His sense of humor was always reviving life into others. He was a kind, generous soul who captured the hearts of those who crossed his path. J'Quan will forever be known for the legacy that he leaves behind.

In addition to his wife and parents, J'Quan leaves behind to cherish his memory: a sister, Javada M. Barrow of Harrisonburg, VA; loving grandmothers, Patty Willis and Elsie Barrow both of Franklin, WV; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

J'Quan's family will receive friends on Friday July 12, 2024, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 13,  2024, at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Chip Willis officiating.
