Judith Cunningham Ours, age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior November 17. 2025. She had fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed at Pendleton Manor in Franklin. Judith was born in Onego, WV, March 6, 1941 to Joy Teter Cunningham Hedrick and she was raised by her loving Aunt Mabel and Uncle Thomas Pendleton Bowers. On July 5, 1963, Judith married Clyde Ours, who preceded her in death on December 4, 2017.

Judith was a 1961 graduate of Circleville High School. She was a loving mother and homemaker and was a member of the Methodist Church in Onego.

Judith is survived by: two daughters, Angelia Ours Smith (Randal) of Reeds Creek and Melissa Ours Conrad (David) of Cabins, WV; Six grandchildren, Brittany Smith Mitters (Cody) of Franklin, Kevin Smith (Ryanne ) of Petersburg, Lindsey Smith of Franklin. Ryan Conrad of Franklin, Aaron Conrad of Shepherdstown and Emily Conrad of Cabins; Two great grandchildren, Jase and Gatlin Mitters; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She cared for an infant niece, Jacqueline in 1964 whom she fondly remembered. Judith also leaves behind her beloved cat, Bear. In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by: two sisters, Rosalie Cunningham Harper and Joan Cunningham Day; and one half brother, Paul Raines.

Judith's family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, 2025, 10-11 AM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Sherry Shaffer officiating. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Upper Tract, WV.
