Judy Belle Barger, age 84, of Jordan Run, WV passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Grant County Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV. She was born on July 8, 1942 on Jordan Run, the daughter of the late Demby Noah and Noralena Jane (Heavner) Berg. On April 27, 1962, Judy married Donald Arthur Barger, who preceded her in death on January 27, 2020.

Ms. Barger attended Petersburg High School and was a member of the Jordan Run Union Church. Judy was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting for family and friends. She loved to be outdoors in nature, tending to her garden or writing in her journal. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory: a sister, Nancy Kimble (Lloyd “Sonny”) of Grove City, OH and a brother, Stoney Berg (Bernita) of Jordan Run, WV.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: 3 brothers, Teddy, Danny, and Paul Berg; 2 sisters, Peggy Earle; and Jaunita Berg.

Judy’s family will receive friends on Sunday, August 2, 2026, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Shannon Earle and Rick Burgdoll officiating. Interment will be at the Berg Family Cemetery, Jordan Run, WV.
