Julia "Judy" Mae Collins, age 81, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at the Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg, WV. She was born on February 27, 1945 in Pullman, WV, the daughter of the late James Edward and Athlea (Smith) Beck.

Ms. Collins was a 1964 graduate of Harrisville High School in Harrisville, WV and in her early days, worked at Troy Mills and then as a seamstress for many years after, which was her true passion. Judy enjoyed watching TV classics like Little House on the Prairie, sewing, making crafts, and playing bingo. She had recently moved to Petersburg to live with her granddaughter and spend time with her great-grandchildren. All those who knew and loved her called her “Granny” and they held a special place in her heart. She will be missed by her dogs and faithful companions, Chloe and Gizzy.

Judy is survived by: a daughter, Rebecca Lateulade (Jose) of Clarksburg, WV; a son, Christopher Beck, of Sugar Land, TX; 3 brothers, James A Beck (Virginia) of Pennsboro, WV; Edward Beck of Pullman, WV; Earl Beck (Donna) of Tollgate, WV; a granddaughter, Brittany Edgell (fiancé Michael Woodyard) of Petersburg, WV; 3 great-grandchildren, Maddison; Holden; Rayden; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clem Beck and 2 sisters-in-law, Brenda and Mary Beck.
