Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we mourn the loss of a beloved Mother and Father, Taylar and Justin Bowers, who tragically left us on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at their home in Franklin, WV. Taylor and Justin leave behind their children, Ryder (age 14), Everly (9), and Solomyn Bowers (8) to cherish their memory and carry on their legacy.

Taylar Lee (Myers) Bowers was born on February 5, 1995, in Fishersville, VA, the daughter of Amy (Harris) Humphries and husband Ryan of Lexington, VA and John Myers of Elkins, WV. In addition to her parents and her children, Taylar leaves behind to cherish her memory: a sister, Brooke Myers; and her Gammie, Susan Ardes. Taylar was preceded in death by: her grandfather, Henry Humphries; and a special cousin, Logan Wade.

Justin was born on February 14, 1992, in Petersburg, WV, the son of Beth (Tranum) Veach and husband Charlie of Franklin, WV and Danny Ray Bowers of Bartow, WV. In addition to his parents and children, Justin leaves behind to cherish his memory: 2 sisters, Ashley Bowers and Britney Kimble; 4 brothers, Cody Kimble Dakota Kimble, Devin Veach, and Wes Haggerly. Justin was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Dyer and Dorothea Bowers (Who he adored) and Thomas L. Tranum and Margaret Harden Harris; a step-father, Leon Riley Kimble; and a brother, Jeremiah Daniel Bowers.

Justin and Taylar were united in marriage on March 12, 2019. Their lives revolved around their family and they took pride in bragging about the accomplishments of their children. Justin and Taylar loved their children and families and enjoyed making memories with them at family cookouts, dinners, vacations and camping.

Taylar attended Wilson Memorial High School and was a member of Pleasant Hills Church of the Brethren. She had worked for Cakes in Wonderland as a baker/decorator. Most importantly, she was a Mom. A mom with compassion that will forever leave an impression on many hearts.

Justin was a graduate of Pendleton County High School and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints. He was employed by Molson Coors in the Laboratory and was a Veteran of the US Army and completed a tour in Afghanistan. Justin was an amazing dad and provider, who wanted only the best for his family.

Justin and Taylar have left a legacy that will be carried on through their children, family and friends. Their work ethic, devotion, love and loyalty will be treasured by anyone who was fortunate to have been a part of their lives.

Justin and Taylar's families will receive friends on Sunday, July 20, 2025, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating. Interment will be in Bowers Family Cemetery in Franklin.
