Kelly Benita Bennett , age 59, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born on November 2, 1959, in Petersburg, WV, the daughter of Nancy Delawder Hogbin of Petersburg and the late Garry Hogbin. Kelly was preceded in death by her first husband, Alan Outlaw on September 6, 2008 and is survived by her second husband, Mark Bennett of Petersburg.

Mrs. Bennett attended school in Virginia Beach, VA and was a member of the Aragona Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. She drove a school bus for VA Beach Public schools and her grandchildren were her world.

In addition to her husband, Kelly is survived by: a son, Jerrod Outlaw (Lindsey) of Petersburg, WV; a step daughter, Sarah Bennett of Petersburg, WV; a step son, Josh Bennett of Petersburg, WV; 3 sisters, Terri Staley (Paul) of Chesapeake, VA, Sandy Carpenter (Greg) of Chesapeake, VA, Angela Outlaw of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, Mathew Hogbin of Chesapeake, VA; 7 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Hogbin.

In honoring Mrs. Bennett's wishes, her body had been donated to WVU Medical Science. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV, with Pastor Matt Smith officiating.
