Kenneth Ray Teter, 87, of Riverton, WV, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. He was born on February 9, 1933, in Teterton, WV, a son of the late Zola Teter and Ella (Long) Teter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: three brothers, Donnie, Bruce, and Hansel Teter; and one sister, Velma Crites.
Methodist by faith, Mr. Teter graduated from Circleville High School in 1951, and served honorably in the US Air Force for four years, and then graduated from Coyne Electrical School. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 24, and worked for Enterprise Electric Company in Baltimore for 34 years. After retiring in 1995 and moving back to West Virginia, he served as Director of Spruce Knob Seneca Rocks Telephone , and was a member of the Economic Development Authority of Pendleton County.
Ken is survived by his dear wife of 60 years, Norma Jean (Raines) Teter; beloved daughter, LaDonna Norjen (John) of Vienna, VA; cherished granddaughters, Courtney Norjen of Alexandria, VA, and Rachel Norjen of Washington, DC; sister, Louann Smith of Edgewater, FL; two brothers, Ward Teter of Seneca Rocks, WV, and Jerry Teter (Patricia) of Bruceton Mills, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held at North Fork Memorial Cemetery, on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with Richard Warner officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Fork Rescue Squad, the Alzheimer's Association, or charity of your choice.
