Kenny Lee Hedrick , age 79 of Seneca Rocks, WV was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 29, 1940 in Seneca Rocks, the son of the late Earl J. Hedrick and Ruby E. (Harper) Hedrick. On May 17, 1959, Kenny married his wife of 60 years, Daisy M. (Judy) Hedrick, who survives in Seneca Rocks.
Mr. Hedrick was a 1958 graduate of Circleville High School and was a member of the High Rock United Methodist Church in Riverton, WV. Mr. Hedrick was a carpenter and general contractor with Local 1024 Millwright Union and the Oil Chemical & Atomic Workers Union. Kenny retired after 33 years from Columbia Gas in 2000. He was a 50 year member of the Pendleton Lodge #144 AF&AM in Franklin, WV and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a 32 nd Degree Mason.
In addition to his wife: Mr. Hedrick is survived by: 4 daughters, Terrie Hedrick of Belington, WV, Jeanette Hedrick of Broadway, VA, Janice Lantz (Lorin) of Seneca Rocks, WV and Kenna Champ (Steve) of Upper Tract, WV; 4 sisters, Katheryn Bennet (Melvin) of Harrisonburg, VA, Mary Kay Raines (Larry) of Seneca Rocks, WV, Patsy Hedrick and Dick Vance of Seneca Rocks and Dottie Armentrout (Larry) of Petersburg, WV; 7 grandchildren: Austin Huffman, Ethan Shimbo, Kajsa Champ, Quinlynn Champ, Braiden Lantz, Landen Champ and Kenden Champ and 1 great-granddaughter, Avery Huffman.
Mr. Hedrick's family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Cindy Skinner officiating. Interment will follow at the South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV, with a Masonic Graveside Service. Memorials may be made to the High Rock United Methodist Church, Seneca Rocks Volunteer Fire Department or Mountain Hospice.
