Larry "Mick" Alvin George , age 66, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020, in Shepherdstown, WV. He was born on August 25, 1953, in Petersburg, WV, the son of the late Foster "Fuzzy" Glenn and Kathleen (Harrison) George.

Mr. George attended Petersburg High School and had attended Bible Baptist Church, where he was baptized. He was formerly employed by the City of Petersburg and Grant County Parks and Recreation. Larry had a passion for camping and fishing.

Mr. George is survived by: 3 daughters, Melissa Nelson (Jonathan) of Riverton, WV, Cathy Raines (Todd) of Harman, WV, Kelly George of Hagerstown, MD; 3 sisters, Brenda Kay Wratchford (Calvin) of Petersburg, WV, Sharon Jean Shepherd of Petersburg, WV, Nancy E. Swick (Joe) of Petersburg, WV; a brother, Greg Allen George (Melissa) of Moorefield, WV; 3 granddaughters; and 1 grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Terry and Larry George; and 3 sisters, Shirley George, Carolyn George, and Tammy Richardson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Welton Park, Shelter #6. Inurnment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, WV.
