Larry Joe Meadows , age 71, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA. He was born on May 26, 1947, in Brandywine, WV, the son of the late Carl and Ethel (Pitsenbarger) Meadows. On April 22, 1969, Larry married Gladys Eva (Greenawalt) Meadows, who survives in Franklin.

Mr. Meadows attended Franklin High School and was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. He had worked at Hanover Shoe, Brockway Plastics for 25 years, and he retired in 2009, after working 9 years at American Woodmark.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Meadows is survived by: A daughter, Ginger Lea Wimer of Upper Tract, WV; a son, Daniel Allen Meadows (April) of Franklin; 2 brothers, Carl Meadows, Jr. (Susan) of VA, Dennis Meadows (Wilma) of Franklin; and 3 grandchildren, Phillip Wimer, John Wimer, and Isaiah Meadows. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Mr. Meadows' family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Meadows Family Cemetery on Reeds Creek, Franklin.
