Laura Elaine Goodman , age 65, of Elkton, VA, formerly of Annadale, VA, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the home of Stephen and Missy Hinkle, with whom she resided for the last 5 months. She was born on March 4, 1956, in Tacoma Park, MD, the daughter of the late William Durwood and Hilda Elaine (Hinkle) Sellars. Laura married Thomas Tate Goodman, who preceded her in death in October 2010.

Laura was a graduate of Annadale High School. She retried from the US Government, where she worked as a contractor. Laura had a passion for jewelry, the beauty of flowers, and cats.

Mrs. Goodman is survived by: an aunt, Patsy Hammer of Franklin, WV; and 8 cousins, Gary Hinkle, Johnny O'Connor, Delores "Gig" O'Connor, Wylene Hinkle, Rick Hinkle, Angie Phares, Stephen Hinkle, and Andrew Hinkle. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John William "Sonny" Sellars on March 23, 2016.

Mrs. Goodman's family will receive friends on Saturday, August 7, 2021, 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV, with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating.
