Lester Kenneth Wratchford , age 71 of Cabins, WV, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Grant Rehabilation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.  He was born on August 17, 1948 in Petersburg, WV, the son of the late Carl Gilbert Wratchford and Mary Jo Catherine (Southerly) Wratchford.  On March 24, 1969 he married his wife of 50 years, Shirley Ann Wratchford, who preceded him in death on June 21, 2019.

Mr. Wratchford attended school in Petersburg, WV.  He worked with his brother, Donnie Wratchford as a painter. When Lester was able he loved to hunt and fish.

Mr. Wratchford is survived by: 2 daughters, Leslie Wratchford of Cabins, WV and Melissa Parks (Michael) of Gerrardstown, WV; 2 step-sons, Vince Giacalone of Fort Meyers, FL and Albert Giacalone (Debbie) of Fort Meyers; 3 sisters, Shirley Ketterman (Paul) of Petesrburg, Delphia Cullers (Buddy) of Moorefield and Phyllis Warner of Capon Bridge, WV; 5 brothers, Ernie Wratchford (Rhodie) of Petersburg, Calvin Wratchford (Kay) of Petersburg, Larry Wratchford (Rose) of Petersburg, Elvin "Hooch" (Sharon) of Moorefield and Steve Wratchford (Wanda) of Moorefield; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Wratchford was preceded in death by: 1 brother, Donnie Wratchford; 1 sister, Irene Ketterman and an infant sister, Lucile Wratchford.

Per Mr. Wratchfords request his body we will be cremated. Mr. Wratchfords family will receive friends on  Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 10-11AM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  A  Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg with Rev. Larry Hakes officiating.
