Linda Mae Borror, age 82, of Petersburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg.  She was born on May 17, 1943 in Madison, WV, the daughter of the late Raymond Sr. and Mary Alice (Crites) Hedrick.  On December 30, 1962 Linda married Doug Borror, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 8, 2024.

Ms. Linda was a 1961 graduate of Petersburg High School and attended the Gordon Chapel United Methodist Church.  She had served our community by working in a variety of jobs over the years, including the Dairy Queen, a dry cleaning business, Bonds Jewelry, an aid at Head Start, and lastly at the South Side Depot.  Linda was a member of the Homemakers Club, the Grant County Historical Society, and a 4-H Club Leader, where she had also been a 4-H All Star.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Linda supported them in all their activities and also shared her time and talents with the youth of our community.  She faithfully attended local high school girls' softball and basketball games as well as supporting the sports booster club.  Linda was a rare gem who gave of herself to those she loved and leaves this world dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
