Linda Sue Phares, age 51, of Upper Tract, WV, passed away on December 18, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.  She was born on February 6, 1970, the daughter of the late Richard Paul Phares and Betty (Champ) Kimble.

Ms. Phares attended both Franklin and Petersburg High School. She was a former employee of Advantage Foods and Park Motel in Petersburg, WV as well as Pilgrim's Pride in Moorefield, WV. She was a Christian by faith and baptized in the Mormon Church as a child.  Linda overcame adversity and many challenges in life while raising her children, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Phares leaves behind to cherish her memories: 2 daughters, Rashell Phares (fiancé Damon McGee) of Moorefield, WV; Katie Oden of Martinsburg, WV; 1 son, David Phares of Petersburg, WV; 2 sisters, Krista Phares of Dorcas, WV; Andrea Marshall (Dixon) of Moorefield, WV; 4 brothers, Richard "Paul" Phares (Edwina) of Temple, OK; Paul William Phares of Riverton, WV; Melvin Kimble of Petersburg, WV; Wayne Kimble of Colorado Springs, CO; 5 grandchildren; and her step-father, Gerald Kimble.

Ms. Phares' family will receive friends on Thursday, December 23, 2021, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bradley Thorne officiating.   Memorials may be made to the family, c/o Rashell Phares @ 214 Jefferson St. Moorefield, WV 26836 .  Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com
