Lisa Ellen (VanMeter) Taylor, age 56, of Moorefield, WV, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at her son, Jaime Lewis', residence.  She was born on January 28, 1966, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV the daughter of the late Coye VanMeter and Marguerite Virginia (Bennett) Heavner.  On November 17, 2001, Lisa married Zachery Taylor, who survives in Old Fields, WV.

Mrs. Taylor attended school in Cabins, WV, at Cabins Christian Academy and formerly attended Rig Assembly of God Church. She previously worked for Walmart, Colts Restaurant, American Woodmark, and Rockingham Poultry.  She loved spending time with family and friends.  She also enjoyed camping with her family during the summer months.

In addition to her husband, Lisa leaves behind to cherish her memory: 2 sons, Dwight Lewis Jr. of Moorefield, WV, Jaime Lewis (Courtney) of Rig, WV; 2 step-sons, Randal Taylor (Kaitlyn) of Moorefield, WV, Daniel Taylor (Brittany) of Old Fields, WV; a step-mother, Edith VanMeter of Cabins, WV; 3 Grandchildren, and 5 Step-Grandchildren; 3 brothers, Morris VanMeter of Dorcas, WV, Rick VanMeter (Jean) of Cabins, WV, Randy VanMeter (Dorene) of Cabins, WV; a sister, Virginia Stump (Randy, Sr.) of Moorefield, WV; a step-sister, Amaleasa Allamong (Roger) of Fountain, WV, a step-brother, Danny Willis (Selina) of Romney, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory VanMeter; a nephew, RP Stump; and a great nephew, Matthew VanMeter.
