Loretta Christine Fishel, age 87, of Mt. Storm, WV, entered the glorious gates of Heaven on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at her home.  She was born on June 17, 1937, in Mt. Storm, WV, the daughter of the late Lewis Homer and Louilla Gertrude (Davey) Cosner.  Loretta married her husband of 40 years, George Wesley Fishel, who preceded her in death in 2006.

Ms. Fishel attended school in Mt. Storm and previously went to the Bayard Church of God.  Loretta loved to be out in nature, whether she was gardening, feeding the birds, watching wildlife, or tending to her flowers.  She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, making sure everyone had a full belly. Loretta had a servant's heart, who loved the Lord and looked forward to the day she would see His face.  She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends but her wish is to see them in Heaven one day.

Loretta is survived by: 6 daughters, Barbara Harper of Mt. Storm, WV; Jackie Harper of North Carolina; Tami Harman (Mark) of Uniontown, PA; Darlene Doak (Brian) of Baker, WV; Ellen Rohrbaugh (Johnny) of Maysville, WV; Beth Lipscomb (Carl) of Moorefield, WV; 2 sons, Michael Rohrbaugh of Mathias, WV; Arlie Rohrbaugh (Sandy) of Augusta, WV; 2 brothers, Rex Cosner (Cindy) of Mt. Storm, WV; Eddie Cosner (Sandy) of Mt. Storm, WV; 19 Grandchildren, Tessa Harper; Magen Miller; Ashlee Van Meter; Shawn Rohrbaugh; Patricia Van Meter; Lucinda Bennett; Christopher Sellers; Adam Rohrbaugh; Brandi Rohrbaugh; Wesley Hesse; Miriam Hyre; Jenni Harman; Laramie Harman; Felicia, JJ, Ryan, Daniel, and Heather Rohrbaugh; Dustin Lipscomb; and numerous Great and Great- Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 children, Reginald Rohrbaugh; Janie Van Meter; 4 sisters, Maxine Ours; Janet Jones; Gloria Kugle; Irene Hawk; and a brother, Robert Cosner.

Loretta's family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025, 12-1 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg, WV.  A Celebration of her Life will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Matt Perrine officiating.  In honoring her wishes, her body has been cremated and inurnment will be at a later date in the Idleman Cemetery, Mt.
