Luna Lee Hagy , age 84, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Pendleton Manor, in Franklin. She was born on October 12, 1934, on Hunting Ground in Circleville, WV, the daughter of the late Clem Enders and Nora Kate (Lambert) Bennett. Luna was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Roy Edward Smith in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, James Edward Hagy.

Ms. Hagy was a graduate of Circleville High School and had worked for Atacia Life Insurance Company as a Secretary in Washington, DC, and was also a homemaker and loving mother.

Ms. Hagy is survived by: a daughter, Norma Jean Patterson of Silver Springs, MD; a son, Mike Smith (Peg) of Durbin, WV; a sister, Lillian Thomspon (Woody) of Thornwood, WV; 7 grandchildren, Kendra, Felicia, and Kenneth Pearson, Stephanie and Christina Andrews, Michael Smith, Jr., and Ashley McCarty; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her spouses, she was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Andrew and Elmer Bennett; and 2 sisters, Cathaline Dean and Hazel Taylor.

Luna's family will receive friends on Saturday, March 2, 2019, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Calvin Bailey officiating. Interment will be in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg.
