Margaret Yvonne Bennett , age 80 of Circleville, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. She was born on May 27, 1940, in Cherry Grove, WV, the daughter of the late Jimmie Vandevander and Norma (Lambert) Vandevander. On June 20, 1958 Margaret married her husband, Luther Guy Bennett who preceded her in death on June 19, 2014.

Margaret "Yvonne" was a devoted wife to her beloved Luther, a loving mother to her two daughters, a wonderful grandmother, great-grandmother, precious neighbor and friend to many. She was a member of the North Fork Church of the Brethren. She will truly be remembered for her friendly nature, gentle soul, and pure heart. She was a dedicated child care provider. Every child that she babysat over the years or that crossed her doorstep knew a love like no other. For many years she babysat children, and then in time would babysit their children. She took them in from newborns and up, to care for, nurture, and love. She had a special place in her heart for each and every one of them, and she left a lasting impression on each of their lives as well. She poured her heart into everything she did and everyone she cared for. Yvonne was dependable, faithful, and a blessing to so many and will be truly missed.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by: 2 daughters, Norma Jean Vint of Circleville and Linda VanMeter (Ronnie Carr) of Maysville; 1 sister, Sherry Kisamore of Hinton, VA; 1 step-sister, Jeanine Nelson of Circleville; 2 grandchildren, Laura Waybright (James) of Franklin, WV and Henry Vint of Circleville; 4 great-grandchildren, James "Cash" Waybright, Tommy Waybright, Brooklyn Vint and her "little buddy", Brantlee VanMeter; and Brooke Dahmer who was like a daughter.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bennett is preceded in death by: a son, Jeff Bennett; 2 brothers, Odith Vandevander and James Vandevander; 3 sisters, Dessie Mae Vandevander, Gladys Wisman and Sue Warlightener and a grandson, Willie VanMeter.

Mrs. Bennett's family will receive friends on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Arbogast officiating. Interment will be at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV.
