Mark Wayne Vanmeter, age 46 of Petersburg, WV, passed away in Cabins, WV. He was born on June 13, 1974 in Harrisonburg, VA the son of Katherine (Davis) Vanmeter of Petersburg and the late Robert Adolph Vanmeter.

Mr. Vanmeter attended Petersburg High School and was a Christian by faith. Mark had previously worked at Alleghany Wood Products in Petersburg and Pilgrim's Pride in Moorefield. Mark enjoyed working on cars and loved to make people laugh.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by: 1 daughter, Morgan Tobesman (Aaron) of Romney, WV; 2 sons, Mark Vanmeter, Jr. and Harllee Vanmeter both of Petersburg; 1 sister, Sherry Huffman (Todd) of Petersburg and Betty Sue Vanmeter of Thomas, WV; 1 brother, Robert Vanmeter, Jr. of Petersburg and 4 grandchildren, Hayden, Marshall, Tanner and Emma Tobesman.

Mark's family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, 10-11 AM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Greg Rotruck officiating. Interment will be in the Vanmeter family Cemetery on Welton Orchard Road in Petersburg.
