Martha Viola Moyers, age 94, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV. She married James Oliver Moyers, who preceded her in death on March 14, 1986.

Mrs. Moyers attended school on Middle Moutnain and had worked at Sites Restaurant, the former Windsor Knit Sewing Factory in Petersburg, WV, and retired as a mail carrier from the US Postal Service. After her retirement, Martha enjoyed caring for the elderly. She was a member of the Bethel Church in Landes, WV, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Martha was a member of the PVFC Women's Auxiliary, CEOS in Grant County and she was a Grant County Belle in 1997 at the WV State Folk Festival. She served on the Silver Haired Legislature and traveled the country for many years, serving as a delegate to the annual Brethren Church conference. The highlight of her life was getting to travel to Israel.

Mrs. Moyers is survived by: 3 daughters, Shirley Bergdoll (Joe) of Arthur, WV, Shelby Borror (Rick) of Petersburg, WV, Treva Black (Larry) of Petersburg, WV; a son, John Moyers (Erma) of Maysville, WV; 6 grandchildren, Alisha, Meredith, Johnnie, Nicholas, Aimee, Jason; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a brother, Walter Sites; a sister, Delsie Sites; and a grandchild, Joshua Bergdoll.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Alt-Sites Cemetery in Petersburg, WV.
