Marvin Vester "Johnny" Hose, age 75, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, at his residence.  He was born on March 25, 1946, in Moorefield, WV, the son of the late Grover James and Myrtle May (Wilson) Hose.  On October 18, 1983, Johnny married Eileen Frances (Fultz) Hose, who survives in Petersburg.

Mr. Hose attended Moorefield High School, was a member of the Frosty Hollow Baptist Church, and a Veteran of the US Army.  He retired from M&M Trucking after 60 years of driving and thousands of logged miles.  Aside from his family, Johnny loved fishing, keeping up his garden, and his beloved dog, Barney.  He lived life to the fullest and wished for others to do the same.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hose is survived by:  a daughter, Amanda Mongold (Ernie Ketterman) of Moorefield, WV; a step daughter, Rose Mongold (Daniel Swecker) of Moorefield, WV; 2 sons, Marvin Hose, Jr (Kysha) of Old Fields, WV, Adam Hose (Annie) of Moorefield, WV; a step son, Herbie Keplinger (Carla) of Petersburg, WV; 3 sisters, Leona George, Petersburg, WV, Joann Dove (Dale) of Mathias, WV, Penny Moton (Jake) of Mathias, WV; 3 brothers, Bobby Hose (Kitty) of Old Fields, WV, Andy Hose (Debra) of Old Fields, WV, Harlan Hose of Petersburg, WV; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Marshall and John Hose; 4 sisters, Betty Hose, Myrtle Hose, Barbara See, and Karen Carr.
