Mary Ann Humphreys , age 86, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her home. She was born on May 24, 1934, in Union, WV, the daughter of the late Everette Preston and Maude Mae (Knight) Weikle. On September 12, 1955, Mary Ann married Alvy F. Humphreys, Jr., who preceded her in death on June 22, 1993.

Mrs. Humphreys was a member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church and she was a loving Mother and Grandmother.

Mrs. Humphreys is survived by: 2 sons, Alvy F. Humphreys III (Tambyra Joy) of Franklin, WV, James Robert Humphreys (Melodie Starr) of Glen Allen, VA; a twin sister, Eva Mae Miller of Union, WV; 3 brothers, Mervin Franklin Weikle, WV, Elwyn Leonard Weikle, WV, Ronald Lee Weikle, all of Union, WV; 5 grandchildren, Cassandra Ann Chisler (Eric), Rebecca June Heavner (Ben), James Robert Humphreys, Jr. (Caroline), Katrina Diane Hott (Adam), Thomas Aaron Humphreys (Raquel); 8 great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Tori, Eve, Evan, Hannah, Tuff, Leo, and Stella. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Agnes Dixon; and a great-granddaughter, Sara Kayt Hott.

The family of Mrs. Humphreys will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2020, 2-3 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating. Family will also receive friends on Saturday, August 8, 2020, 12-1 PM at the Broyles-Shrewsberry Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with a graveside service following at the Greenville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Greenville, WV, with Rev.
