Mary Christine Jordan, age 58, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 at her home. She was born on January 11, 1968 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late John “Bob” Kemper and Ethel Louise (Jackson) Carter.

Ms. Jordan attended Franklin High School and worked at various jobs throughout her life. Mary enjoyed walking down to the river and had a unique talent for drawing. She loved to journal and read and write poetry. Mary also had a special place in her heart for her cats.

Mary is survived by: 5 biological children; 2 biological grandchildren; a sister, Kathy Lockard (Guy Milsteed) of Franklin, WV; 3 step-sisters, Terry Hammer (Emmett) of Linville, VA; Susan Jo Ash of Charleston, SC; Cindy Varner (Eugene) of Sugar Grove, WV; 2 half-sisters, Carla Miller (Jim) of Ohio; Samantha Carter of Ohio; a step-brother, Kelly Hammer of Franklin, WV; a half-brother, Tony Martin (Eureka) of Petersburg, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Karen Linewever and Wanda Allaby.
