Mason Glenn Heavner , age 89, of Petersburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Hampshire Center in Romney, WV. He was born on September 21, 1930, in Cabins, WV, the son of the late Asa Mason and Ellie Mae (Moyers) Heavner. In 1955, Mason married Maxine Susan Heavner, who preceded him in death on February 10, 2019.

Mr. Heavner attended school in Seneca Rocks, WV, and was Christian by faith. He had worked for Dittmar Construction Company in Northern Virginia for more than 30 years. He was a Korean War Veteran of the US Army.

Mr. Heavner is survived by: 5 sons, Mason Heavener, Jr. (Kathy) of Manassas, VA, Dean Heavener (Cindy) of Maysville, WV, Danny Heavner of Petersburg, WV, David Heavner of Petersburg, WV, Tony Heavner of Petersburg, WV; 4 brothers, Paul Heavener of Dunloring, VA, Larry Heavener of Seneca Rocks, WV, Willy Heavener of Petersburg, WV, Luther Heavener of Cabins, WV; 19 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, He was preceded in death by: a son, Andrew Heavener; and 4 sisters, Betty Dolly, Alice Heavener, Rosetta Berg, and Shirley Goldizen.
