Michael Lynn Fleece , age 64, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA. He was born on December 12, 1960, in Berkeley Springs, WV, the son of Neoma (Smoot) Fleece of Keyser, WV and the late Willard Woodrow Fleece. On March 25, 1991, Michael married Linda Lou (Davis) Fleece, who survives in Franklin.

Michael was a 1978 graduate of Hampshire High School and was a Christian by faith. He had worked for Peer's Sanitation and was a certified Electrician. Michael enjoyed fishing and was a very talented craftsman, who loved making furniture.

In addition to his wife and mother, Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory: 4 step sons, Wesley Davis of Franklin, WV, Jay Roberts of Franklin, WV, Tim Roberts of Brandywine, WV, Matt Roberts of Franklin, WV; a brother, Larry Fleece of Ft. Ashby, WV; and a number of step-grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy.

In honoring Michael's wishes, his body has been cremated. Michael's family will receive friends on Friday, October 3, 2025, 5-7 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. A Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor James Payne officiating.
