Monte X Willis went home to be with the Father God on March 5,2023. He was born March 25, 1991, in Raleigh, NC, the youngest son of Terry and Denise (Lamb) Willis of Raleigh, NC.

Monte graduated from Leesville High School in Raleigh, NC. He attended UNCG University in Greensboro North Carolina where he received a Bachelors of Art Degree in Biology. He was employed at the Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD) company in Morrisville, NC where he worked as an MIA in the Medical Communication Department. Monte was a member of the St. Paul AME Church in Raleigh, NC.

In addition to his parents, Monte leaves behind to cherish his memory: his brother Tavone Willis of Norfolk VA; his grandmothers, Patty Willis of Franklin WV, and Brookie Coston Lamb of Durham NC.; Uncles and Aunts, Eddie Willis and, Patrick Willis , and Asala Willis all of Franklin WV, Joseph Coston of Durham North Carolina, Kara Willis of Franklin WV, Karen Willis-Hilliard and Tony Hilliard of Philadelphia PA; and a host of cousins and relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William N. Willis, and Joseph Lamb.

Monte's family will receive friends on Thursday, March 16, 2023, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Chip Willis officiating. Interment will be in the Willis Family Cemetery on Entry Mountain, Franklin, WV.
