Nellie Bland Law Cross, age 95, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 in Williamsburg, VA. She was born on September 24, 1923 in Rivertonl, WV the daughter of the late Frank Lester and Zona Jordan Bland.

In 1942, Nellie met and married Byrl Lyndon Law, a young school teacher at Circleville High School. They lived in Circleville until 1957, then moved to Glenville, WV. Upon retirement from Glenville State College, they moved to Williamsburg, VA, in 1977. They were married 40 years until Byrl's death in 1982. Nellie and Byrl had 3 children: The late Dennis Ray Law (Debra) formerly of Elkins, WV, Jeanne Halkowich (Robert) of Williamsburg; and Danny Byrl Law (Alicia) of Weston, WV. Nellie was "Nannan" to 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In 1987, Nellie married Ralph J. Cross of Williamsburg. Ralph had 5 children, Bruce, Mark, Gary, Ellen and Joseph Cross. Nellie and Ralph enjoyed traveling the word and spending time with their blended family until Ralph's death in 2002.

In addition to her children, Nellie is survived by: a brother, Ray Martin Bland of Franklin, WV. In addition to her spouses, parents, and son, she was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, John L. Bland and Robert L. Bland.

Funeral services will be on on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Circleville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Earl Bible officiating. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV. Memorials may be made to CHS Preservation Fund, POB 73, Circleville, Wv 26804.
