Nelson Joseph Boucher, Sr., age 40, of Cabins, WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.  He was born on September 25, 1982, the son of the late Kenneth Nelson, Sr. and Thelma "Jean" (Wratchford) Boucher of Petersburg, WV.

Mr. Boucher attended Petersburg High School, later receiving his GED, and formerly attended Brushy Run Church of God in Upper Tract, WV.  He had previously worked at Pizza Hut in Petersburg and Pilgrim's Pride Corporation in Moorefield.  Nelson enjoyed being outside whether he was hunting, fishing, or playing baseball and football.  He also had a gift to make others laugh and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his mother, Nelson is survived by: a son, Nelson Joseph Boucher, II; 3 sisters, Betty Jean Warner (John) of Cabins, WV, Catherine Laura Nesselrodte (Mark) of Petersburg, WV, Jaclyn Rose Kesner (James) of Cabins, WV; 3 brothers, Leon F. Phares, II of Petersburg, WV, Kenneth Nelson, II of Cabins, WV, Brian Keith Boucher (Kim) of Wardensville, WV; a Granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Boucher's family will receive friends on Tuesday December 6, 2022 from 12pm-2pm at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg. Funeral services will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor James Hawk officiating.
