Obituary

Nora Lynn "Linnie" Hartman , age 90, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA. She was born on July 21, 1931, in Dahmer, WV, the daughter of the late Jesse Howard and Mary Viola (Propst) Moyers.

Linnie attended Franklin High School and was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Franklin, WV. She had worked at Eye's Coffee Shop, Thompson's Restaurant, Franklin Garment Factory, Hanover Shoe Company, and Pendleton Nursing Home. She was blessed with wisdom and known as "Granny" to all that knew her. Granny's passion was spending time with her family and friends. She had been a resident at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV since April 27, 2004, where she enjoyed Bible study, word searches, crafts, church services, bingo, music, women's groups, and manicures. Granny is the sole surviving member of her immediate family.

Granny leaves behind to treasure her memories: 2 daughters, Betty Kimble (Ronnie) of Brandywine, WV, Sheila Lundquist (Jon) of Ligonier, PA; a son, Lyle Hartman (Stephanie) of Brandywine, WV; 11 grandchildren, Monica, Darren, Latrisha, Natalie, Patrick, Tyler, Jordan , Kyle, Thomas, Isaac, and Kali; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 daughters, an infant Schandra Hartman and Danita Hartman; a grandson, Dallas Lundquist; a daughter-in-law, Margaret (Lyle) Hartman; 2 brothers, Melvin Moyers and James Irvin "Friday" Moyers; and 4 sisters, Treva Pennybacker, Viola Rodgers, Pauline Wilfong, and Hazel Propst.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, August 29, 2021, 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Linnie's family will receive friends on Monday, August 30, 2021, 12-2 PM at the Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Kyle Apple and Brother David Hartman officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Franklin, WV. (Out of respect and the safety and the health of others, the family has requested that anyone in attendance please wear a mask or facial covering) Memorials may be made to: Pendleton Manor or South Fork Rescue Squad or Fire Department.
