Obituary

Patsy Jean Lambert, age 72, of Riverton, WV, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at home. She was born on April 11, 1948, in Hardscrabble, VA, the daughter of the late Robert and Maggie (Hedrick) Mick. Patsy was twice married and preceded in death by her first husband Robert Lee Arbaugh in 1970 and by her second husband Varley Gus Lambert on May 19, 2003.

Mrs. Lambert attended Blue Grass Schools and was a member of the Circleville Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and she had worked as a cook at Grant Memorial Hospital and she had worked for Petersburg Garment Company.

Mrs. Lambert is survived by: 4 daughters, Sudie Cross (Tom) of Riverton, WV, Maggie Arbaugh (Ronnie) of Cabins, WV, Linda Arbaugh (Larry) of Riverton, WV, Rebecca Long (Tim) of Elkins, WV WV; 2 step daughters, Ruby Simmons of Franklin, WV, Linda Wimer (Billy) of Circleville, WV; 3 step sons, Delbert Lambert (Wilma) of Singers Glen, VA, Varley Lambert, Jr. (Carolyn) of Singers Glen, VA, George Lambert of Stuarts Draft, VA; 4 sisters, Freda Vandevander, Wanda Bennett, Mottie Bennett (Lacy) all of Cherry Grove, WV, Angela Cosner (Rocky) of Mt. Storm, WV; a brother, Johnnie Mick (Gloria) of Cherry Grove, WV; 9 grandchildren; and a number of great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by: a brother, Robert Jr.; and 2 sisters, Callie and Flornie.

Mrs. Lambert's family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, 12-2 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Frankln, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Fletcher Hutcheson and Pastor George Lambert officiating. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV. Memorials may be made to Grant Hospice, 1 Hospital Dr., Petersburg, WV or to any Pendleton County Rescue Squad.
